Climate
The Maritime climate along the coast is characterised by warm, sunny days from May to October with mid-summer air temperatures averaging 28C and sea temperatures ranging from 23-25C.
The wettest months are June, October and December. Winter is cold, although milder than the interior of the country where the snow falls heavily, and many of the resorts shut down for the season.
Sunny Beach boasts a long summer season. With around 300 sunny days per year Sunny Beach, really earns its name.
The beach itself stretches for over eight kilometres. It has soft, golden sand and is bordered by sand dunes. The sea bed slopes gently away from the beach, creating a shallow shore where you can swim in calm, warm waters
