Cash Game Rules

BASIC RULES WHEN ORGANIZING CASH GAMES

1. Controlling Persons.

The main priority for the casino staff should be making decisions in the best interest of the game and its fairness. In some cases, unusual circumstances may lead to making decisions in which justice prevails over the technical rules. The decisions made by the management are final.

2. Official Language.

All conversations between players during the hand should be in English only. During the hand players can only use the Bulgarian language for communication with the casino staff. The penalties for breaking these rules are at the discretion of the casino staff.

3. Ethical game.

Poker is an individual game. Systematic violation of the etiquette shall be punished at the discretion of the casino staff.

Examples of violations of ethics include, but are not limited to: insult or derogatory behavior, abuse or distracting behavior, delaying the game, systematic attempts to play before the order, and too loud and frequent conversations. Players are required to protect the other players in the game at any time. Therefore, players whether or not they are in hand are not allowed to:

  • Reveal the contents of active or thrown hands;
  • Comment on or criticize a hand at all times;
  • Pronounce the content of a hand that is not shown.
  •
  • 4. Showing cards.

Players who show their cards during a hand when further actions are to be made will be punished, but the hand remains valid.

-          The penalty for the first misconduct will be that to the end of the hand the player will have the right to choose his plays from the following options: check, call and fold, i.e. he/she will not be allowed to bet first or to raise a bet made by another player.

-          Repetitive violations by a player shall be subject to more drastic penalties, including “dropping out” of his hand or removal from the game.

The following cases are all considered revealing cards and subject to sanctions:

  • A player reveals one or more cards due to carelessness or inattention, confusion or misunderstanding in what stage the current hand is;
  • A player deliberately reveals his cards to another player, but not to the whole table;
  • A player deliberately reveals his cards to a member of the audience;
  • A player deliberately reveals his cards to the opponent (s) in the current hand in order to create confusion and/or use of a "soft" game.
  •
  • 5. Raise Methods. Chip with a High Denomination.

  • Raising should be made with (1) betting in full with one motion; or (2) with a verbal declaration of the full amount before placing any chips in the pot; or (3) verbally declaring "raise" before placing the amount of chips needed for the payment and then completing the action with one additional movement. It is obligation of the player to clearly show their intentions;
  • Upon each bet (or blind), placing a chip with a higher denomination in the pot is considered payment unless a raise has been declared verbally beforehand. To make a raise with a single chip with a larger denomination an announcement should be made before the chip has touched the surface of the table or before being placed beyond the line. If a raise is announced (but not valued), the raise is the maximum allowed for this chip. Where there is no bet, placing a higher chip in the pot without announcement means betting of the maximum permissible value for this chip;
  • If a player's chips pass the line in front of him, they shall be regarded as part of the pot;
  • The dealers are responsible for string bets and raises.
  •
  • 6. Order of Show down.

At the end of the last round the player who made the last aggressive action should show his cards first. If there were no bets made in the last round, players show their cards one after another in a clockwise direction, starting with the seated to the left of the button.

  • If only two players are left in the game and the one whose turn is to show his cards, threw them behind the line with face down, the pot is won by the player who has retained his cards, and in cash games he is not required to reveal his cards.
  • If a player’s cards pass the line in front of him with face down, they are considered "dead hand" and drop out. Exceptions are situations where a player has made a bet, which has not yet been paid and due to a misunderstanding he throws his cards. The exception is made only once.
  • If a player’s cards are mixed with other cards or go off the table, they are also considered "dead" hand and drop out.
  •
  • 7. If a player leaves the game and within two hours decides to return, he should sit at the table at least the same cash, with which he has left.

The place of the player is kept for 30 minutes.

8. The casino does not take any part in the arrangements for deals between the aiming at splitting the pot. The whole pot is given to the player with winning cards.

Not transfer of money is permitted between the players.

The following transactions are allowed: for the opening of two boards, of second turn and river or just for a second river in case two players are left in the game and one of them is all-in. If the hand of a player is winning on both boards, he wins the whole pot, and if his hand is winning only on the one board and losing on the other, the pot is split equally between the players.

9. Showing un-dealt cards.

After the completion of the hand (if all common cards have not been dealt) and upon a request of a player, the dealer is allowed to show any of the cards, "which would come if the hand was not completed”. These cards are paid by the player who has requested to see them as follows:

-          flop only - 1€

-          turn and river or river only - 1€

-          flop + turn and river - 2€

The money is a TIP for the casino staff!

10. The seats are for players only.
